Welcome to the new home of Myers Fire Photos. My name is Dan Myers and I am a Fire Photographer in the greater Chicago area and owner of Myers Towing & Recovery. This web site contains Rescue & Fire Scene photos from Lake County, IL. I also have apparatus galleries which includes the Chicago Fire Departments new deliveries and other area departments.

Mini-Van tears apart pick-up in Round Lake Beach wreck : Kurt Disch caught these photos of Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District firefighters working a bad wreck located at Route 83 and Rollins Road in Round Lake Beach. A mini-van broadsided a pick-up truck, tearing it apart. The driver of the truck was air lifted by Flight For Life.

Waukegan FD respond to fire with ARFF (Old Photos) : A large fire started by oily rags destroyed a truck repair facilty located close to the Waukegan Airport. The Newport Township Fire Department arrived on the scene and quickly requested Waukegan's ARFF to respond from the airport due to the large amount of oil and fuel that was burning. Departments from all over Lake & Kenosha Counties assisted in fighting the fire.

Round Lake Easter morning apartment fire (Old Photos) : Round Lake Fire Protection District firefighters were called to an early Easter morning apartment fire after a resident playing with matches and "gunpowder" blew up his apartment. Firefighters arrived to find two men on fire rolling around in the street. Both men were transported by Flight For Life to a burn center. Round Lake was assisted by Lake Villa, Fox Lake and Grayslake Fire Departments.

Head-on collision fatally injures SUV driver in Lake Villa (Old Photos) : A car passing another vehicle on a curve collided with an SUV causing it to roll-over onto it's side. Lake Villa firefighters worked to extricated the badly trapped driver, assisted by crews from Round Lake. The driver died in route to the LZ.
