A California man visiting family near Antioch disappeared while boating by himself on the Chain. His boat was found on the west shore of Minneola Bay. The Fox Lake FD pulled a MABAS water search and rescue box and departments from all over Lake and McHenry Counties searched the chain for three days. Fox Lake FD divers continued the search on there own for almost a week, finally finding then victims body just northwest of Stanton Point in Fox Lake.
